Do I have to wear a costume?
We at Infinity Flowerbox would vote "yes", but it's 100% your decision whether you want to dress up or not. We think that wearing a costume helps it feel more like a special event and gets you more in the Halloween spirit. By the way, your costume doesn't necessarily have to be anything fancy. Get a witch's hat or a headband with cat ears or just put on some black eyeliner to make yourself look like a cat. You could also just wear a Halloween t-shirt.
How to decorate your house
Decorated houses are great, but they also mean a lot of work. You can create a big impact with just a few accessories: a Halloween wreath or door decoration and a homemade pumpkin lantern are simple and perfect for giving your porch a spooky atmosphere for an evening.
We also recommend turning on a porch lamp and/or lights on the inside of the door to make your house look inviting and to let parents know that it is safe for children to trick-or-treat there.
If you want to have a very special kind of decoration, we can recommend our beautiful INFINITY flowers. A "Black Beauty" Flowerbox consists of a hat box together with one or more black roses. You can choose from different sizes. They are a perfect match for your Halloween decoration. Stop by our shop now and choose your favorite flower box.
How much candy do I need?
This is probably the most difficult question, because every neighborhood is different. In our opinion, you should start with two large bags if you assume that each child will get 1-2 candies.
Don't forget to check the local store ads or store apps for coupons and special offers this week.
Think of children of all ages. Children ages 3 to 4 probably can't eat small, hard candies, but a simple candy bar would be perfect for them. Buying a variety of candies is perfect to cover this.
How do I react to the children ringing at my door?
If the children are between 8 and 13 years old, you can joke with them. When they say "trick or treat", ask them what they will do for their candy or joke that you will trade one of their treats for one of yours. Just be silly and have fun!
Try to tell each child what you like about their costume - especially those who didn't just buy their costume at the store. We still remember adults complimenting us on our costumes over the years and how great it made us feel.
You should also keep the following in mind:
- Put candy in a bowl. It doesn't have to be fancy, but putting everything in a container that you can easily access will keep things running smoothly.
- Don't let the kids pick out their own candy. They will be busy deciding all night or they will take five pieces even though they should only have two. It's easier to pick out a candy and throw it in the bag or bucket.
- Have some Halloween fun yourself! Snack on some candy from time to time, watch a Halloween classic like "Hocus Pocus" or turn on a TV channel that airs Halloween movies. Sip a pumpkin spice latte and enjoy the evening!
All in all, we hope that you have received some nice inspiration for this year's Halloween through this post. We at Infinity Flowerbox wish you a good time.
