Do I have to wear a costume?
We at Infinity Flowerbox would vote yes, but it's 100% up to you whether you want to dress up or not. We think that wearing a costume helps it feel more like a special event and gets you more in the Halloween spirit. Your costume doesn't have to be anything fancy, by the way. Get a witch's hat or a headband with cat ears , or simply apply black eyeliner to make yourself look like a cat. You could also just wear a Halloween T-shirt.
How to decorate your home
Decorated houses are great, but they also mean a lot of work. You can make a big impact with just a few accessories: a Halloween wreath or door decoration and a homemade jack-o'-lantern are simple and perfect for giving your porch a spooky atmosphere for an evening.
We also recommend turning on a porch light and/or lights on the inside of the door to make your house look inviting and let parents know it's safe for kids to ask for trick-or-treat there.
If you want a very special kind of decoration, we can recommend our beautiful INFINITY flowers. A "Black Beauty" flower box consists of a hat box together with one or more black roses. You can choose from different sizes. They fit perfectly with your Halloween decorations. Take a look at our store now and choose your favorite flower box.
How many sweets do I need?
This is probably the most difficult question, because every neighborhood is different. In our opinion, you should start with two large bags, assuming that each child gets 1-2 sweets.
Don't forget to check local store ads or store apps for coupons and special offers this week.
Think about children of all ages. Children aged 3 to 4 probably can't eat small, hard candies, but a simple kids bar would be perfect for them. Buying a variety of sweets is perfect to cover this.
How do I react to the children who ring my doorbell?
If the kids are between 8 and 13 years old, feel free to joke with them. When they say "trick or treat," ask them what they'll do for their candy or joke that you'll trade one of their treats for one of yours. Just be silly and have fun!
Try to tell each child what you like about their costume - especially those who didn't just buy their costume from the store. We still remember how adults have complimented us on our costumes over the years and how great they made us feel.
You should also bear this in mind:
- Put sweets in a bowl. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but if you pour everything into a container that you can easily access, everything will go smoothly.
- Don't let the children choose their own sweets. They will be busy all night deciding or they will take five pieces when they should only have two. It's easier to pick one candy and throw it in the bag or bucket.
- Have some fun yourself on Halloween! Snack on some candy from time to time, watch a Halloween classic like "Hocus Pocus" or tune in to a TV station that airs Halloween movies. Sip a Pumpkin Spice Latte and enjoy the evening!
All in all, we hope this post has given you some lovely inspiration for this year's Halloween. We at Infinity Flowerbox wish you a wonderful time.
