Why do Infinity Roses last so long?
Since 2017, Infinity Roses have become increasingly popular in Germany. But the question always arises – why do Infinity Roses actually last so long? Sure, they are preserved. But does this mean that they are pumped full of chemicals or that you have to treat them yourself so that you can enjoy their beauty for a long time? Are they even real roses? Turning normal roses into Infinity Roses
The harvest
On 180,000 m² fields in Ecuador and Holland, the roses are harvested in their most beautiful bloom. These freshly harvested roses are initiated into the preservation process on site. No toxic or synthetic substances are used in the process.
The preservation
Using the so-called double immersion process, the roses are placed in a liquid that ensures that all the liquid is extracted from the rose. This is because the water in the roses normally causes the roses to wither at some point. Then they are placed directly in another liquid that is 100% plant-based and naturally biodegradable. This is based on glycerine – a substance that can also be found in skin creams, for example. This substance ultimately ensures that the rose lasts forever. This creates a snapshot of the rose, a unique natural product that lasts for years. The Infinity Roses themselves therefore last forever and cannot wither. Only the color fades after a few years.
Caring for Infinity Roses
How long it actually lasts in the end depends on the “care” of the rose. Caring for the roses does not require much, but only small things such as location and temperature.
Light
Avoid direct sunlight (e.g. windowsill). The direct exposure to light causes the color to fade faster and they can dry out.
Temperature
If the flowers are too cold, they will fall apart; if they are too hot, they will dry out. Room temperature is ideal.
Water/humidity
Due to the preservation, the roses are sensitive to moisture. If they come into direct contact with it, the rose loses its structure and color – and therefore its beauty. Therefore “Save some water” and avoid a location in the bathroom.
Touching
Frequently touching the flowers deposits natural oils from your fingers onto the petals, which can reduce the flowers' lifespan.
Dust
Like anything left out in your home for a long time, the flowers will collect dust. You can remove it with a soft, dry brush. It's quick and easy, we promise! Even a preserved rose is still a flower – delicate, sensitive, and fragile. Its lifespan depends heavily on environmental factors. However, you don't need to water, treat, or spray it. Caring for it is very simple – with a little love, patience, and attention to these instructions, you can enjoy the beautiful roses for years.

The advantages of an Infinity Rose
One advantage of preserved roses is their longevity. Of course, plants can also last forever, but not without intensive care. Infinity Roses remain beautiful for years without a drop of water. This makes them a special floral gift that also serves as a lasting reminder of the person who gave it.
The other advantage isn't immediately obvious: preserved roses are more environmentally friendly than fresh roses. Fresh flowers are transported daily to wholesalers and then to retail outlets. The long storage times and fewer delivery routes result in lower CO2 emissions. Less waste is produced, which needs to be transported and processed. Preserved roses are therefore more sustainable.
Also, fresh roses last about 5-14 days, and a bouquet costs around €20-30 upwards. Now, calculate that over 3 years. You'll save a huge amount of money on your fresh decorations – even if the price for long-lasting roses seems high at first.
